The Rock faced Stone Cold Steve Austin at WWF Raw on 2^nd April 2001. Later, The Rock was suspended by the World Wrestling Federation for 4 months. In this mean time, The Rock completed The Mummy Returns Movie. World Wrestling Federation life was almost ended by the WCW and ECW. Even, Stone Cold Steve Austin was also joined in Alliance. Vince McMahon was unable to imagine World Wrestling Federation future. Vince McMahon lifted suspension to save the WWF from Alliance. The Rock received Business deals from Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon to join in their wrestling Businesses.

The Rock returned to World Wrestling Federation on 30^th July 2001 at WWF Raw. The Rock selected World Wrestling Federation to face the WCW/ ECW. The Rock attended to WWF Smackdown on 2^nd August 2001 to face Stone Cold Steve Austin but WCW World Heavyweight Champion Booker T attended instead of Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Rock seriously considers this and insulted Booker T. Shane McMahon was also attended but challenged The Rock in Street fight on 6^th August 2001.
