Edge Vs John Cena for WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2006
SummerSlam is one of the most entertaining wrestling main events in the WWF/ WWE. WWE conducted wrestling main event SummerSlam 2006 at TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on 8/20/2006 (20th August 2006). WWE conducted 8 wrestling matches with WWE Raw, Smackdown and ECW Wrestling superstars. 16,168 wrestling fans attended for this wrestling main event to watch performance of their favorite wrestling superstars.
John Cena was WWE Champion in WWE. Similarly, Edge was also one of the most challenging wrestling superstars. Edge won the Money In the Bank Ladder match and reserved WWE Championship challenge match. John Cena won participated in The New Year’s Revolution wrestling main event and successfully retained his WWE Championship. Unfortunately, Edge returned Money In The Bank briefcase to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Finally, Edge defeated John Cena in another match after Elimination Chamber match for WWE Championship.
Later, Edge insulted John Cena’s father in John Cena’s home. John Cena was seriously considered Edge’s activities. WWE Conducted a special wrestling between these two wrestling superstars at SummerSlam 2006. This match was conducted after DX and McMahons match. John Cena performed extreme wrestling skills in this match but lost match to Edge mainly due to Edge and Lita’s cheap tricks in this wrestling main event. WWE SummerSlam 2006 successfully completed almost all wrestling matches.
